Thank you for your interest in Center in the Square's signature event, Affair in the Square. Through the years thousands of people have supported Center by attending this event. Thank you to all of the volunteers, staff, and guests who have made this event so popular.

Due to the activities planned for the Commonwealth's and City's anniversary that are to occur in October, we will not have Affair in the Square in 2007. Additionally, recent years have shown a decline in attendance for Affair in the Square due to competing events such as Cork and Curtain, ACC football, and Second Chance Prom. For 2008, the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Center in the Square will take the place of Affair.

Affair in the Square will most likely return in 2009. Moving this event to the spring will be considered by the Special Events Committee of the Board of Directors. Any spring event will likely be different from Affair, and will be planned to be responsive to current trends and the prospective audience. We will make announcements about the new Affair in the Square when final plans are complete.
