Do you have electronic devices such as computers, printers, cellphones, flat screen tv’s, and other devices powered by batteries or a power cord you need to dispose of? Center in the Square, Grand Home Furnishing, WSLS, and River Acceptance has teamed up to collect and properly dispose of your unwanted recyclable electronics.

Just pull up and drop it off! You never have to leave your vehicle. It’s that easy.

An estimated 50 million tons of e-waste are produced worldwide each year. According to the EPA, 80 to 85 percent of this amount goes directly into landfills and incinerators. You can get involved by dropping off old, unwanted electronics or volunteering to collect and organize e-scrap. Last year we collected three train box car loads of E-Scrap from concerned citizens who wanted to keep this scrap out of our landfills and have it professionally processed by Center in the Square and River Acceptance Corp., a local E-Scrap processing firm with over 30 years’ experience in processing electronic scrap.

Please Note: TV’s and computer monitors that contain cathode ray tubes are not collected. The lead contained in the tubes must be recycled under very special conditions. The other devices not accepted are refrigerators and related items containing coolant which require special license to handle.
