Administrative Outreach is a collaborative administrative services department and a division of The Western Virginia Foundation for the Arts and Sciences operating as Center in the Square. Administrative Outreach offers services to other arts and cultural non-profit organizations in the Roanoke geographical region.

MISSION

Administrative Outreach exists to provide affordable, professional administrative services working for and partnering with the cultural non-profit sector of the Roanoke region in a collaborative effort helping to create results in

  • Improved programming
  • Attendance
  • Participation
  • Advocacy

We do this by working with cultural non-profit organizations to promote a shared vision and investment in a vigorous and rich cultural environment that improves the quality of life for all in the Roanoke region.

THE PURPOSE

For some time community leaders, board members, and staff members of several non-profit organizations expressed a need to streamline services and combine resources to maximize effectiveness and minimize cost associated with departments like finance, IT, database management, and marketing. Administrative Outreach was created with this collaborative effort in mind. Center in the Square already provides a free home, utilities, maintenance, and security to seven cultural non-profit organizations. Expanding support to administrative functions is a natural progression of Center in the Square's mission.


Administrative Outreach brings 25-years of successful non-profit foundation experience together in one centralized group of professionals and offer core services at a very affordable rate to eligible non-profit organizations. Our vision is to help cultural non-profit organizations grow and flourish to gain even greater credibility and strength, and to promote a shared vision and investment in a vigorous and rich cultural environment that improves the quality of life for all in the Roanoke region.
